We also sell merchandise through our online shop.
This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit www.dorkknightdesigns.com, contact us, purchase products, or work with us.
Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us:
- Inquiries and quote requests: Your name, email address, phone number, services of interest, and the information you include in your message.
- Client projects: Business contact details, project requirements, correspondence, and materials you provide, such as photographs, artwork, logos, and website content. These materials may contain personal information about you or others.

- Accounts: If you create an account, we collect the information needed to manage it, including your login details and any addresses or preferences you save.
- Website activity: Our website and hosting systems may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages requested, referring website, and access times.
Please provide only the personal information needed for your inquiry, order, or project. Do not send payment card numbers, passwords, or sensitive personal records through our general quote form.
How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries, prepare quotes, and discuss potential projects.
- Provide design, website, marketing, and related services you request.
- Process orders and payments, arrange production and shipping, and provide customer support.
- Manage accounts, invoices, and our client relationships.
- Maintain and protect our website, troubleshoot problems, and prevent spam, fraud, or unauthorized activity.
- Measure website use and advertising results, and show relevant advertising through the Google services described below.
- Maintain business records, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
If you subscribe to marketing communications, you can stop receiving them by using the unsubscribe instructions provided or contacting us. We may still send messages needed to handle an active project, account, or order.
Orders, payments, and Printify fulfillment
When you buy merchandise, we use your order and contact information to process the purchase and arrange delivery.
For products fulfilled through Printify, we share the information needed to produce and deliver your order with Printify and the relevant print providers and shipping partners. This can include the recipient’s name, shipping address, relevant contact details, product selections, and artwork or personalization associated with the order.
See Printify’s Privacy Policy for more information about its processing practices. Contact us directly with privacy questions about an order placed through our shop.
Payment providers process the billing and transaction information needed to complete payments, perform fraud checks, and handle refunds. We receive information needed to record and manage the transaction, such as payment status and transaction references.
[Before publishing: WooPayments is the planned checkout provider, but setup is still in progress. Once enabled, add the applicable WooPayments/Automattic and Stripe privacy disclosures. Confirm any other payment providers used for client invoices and what payment information your business receives or stores.]
Cookies and tracking technologies
Our WordPress website and online shop use cookies and similar technologies to support functions such as shopping sessions, account sign-in, and saved preferences. Some cookies expire when you close your browser; others remain until they expire or you delete them.
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect the shopping cart, checkout, sign-in, or other website functions.
Google Analytics and Google Ads: We use Google Analytics to understand website activity and Google Ads to measure advertising results and reach previous visitors through remarketing. Depending on the feature and settings, Google may receive page URLs, device and cookie identifiers, IP addresses, and information about interactions such as visits, inquiries, or purchases.
Google may associate activity across websites or with a Google account, depending on account settings and the features enabled. These services can use cookies and similar technologies to measure performance and personalize advertising.
Google Tag Manager: We use Google Tag Manager to manage website tags. The tags it loads determine which analytics or advertising services receive information.
You can review Google’s practices in its Privacy Policy and its explanation of information from websites using Google services. To manage Google ad personalization, visit Google Ad Settings. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. These controls have different scopes; turning off personalized ads does not stop all measurement or data collection.
[Before publishing: This section assumes Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing, and Google Tag Manager, as requested by the owner. Verify the actual configuration, including Google signals or enhanced conversions and any additional disclosures they need. Confirm cookie durations, consent and opt-out controls, applicable sale/sharing disclosures, and actual responses to Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Do not promise controls that have not been implemented.]
Who we share information with
We share relevant information with providers that help us operate our business and deliver the products or services you request. Depending on the interaction, these include:
- Website hosting and technical providers, including WP Engine.
- Payment processing and fraud prevention providers.
- Google, for the analytics and advertising activities described above.
- Printify, printers, product fulfillment providers, and shipping carriers.
- Email, file storage, project management, and design or production service providers.
- Contractors assisting with your project or technical support.
- Domain registration and business email providers when you request those services.
Information may also be disclosed when necessary to comply with legal requirements, respond to lawful requests, address fraud or security issues, or protect legal rights. If the business is sold or reorganized, relevant records may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable privacy requirements.
Project files, photographs, and client websites
Photographs and other materials you provide are used to evaluate or complete the work you request. Share only materials you are authorized to provide, especially when they contain another person’s image or personal information.
Materials intended for publication on a website, printed product, or other public medium may become visible to others. Remove embedded location data, such as EXIF GPS information, from images if you do not want that information included in publicly available files.
Our portfolio and testimonials display selected work and client information. Publication of project materials should follow the permissions and terms agreed for the project.
When we handle personal information on behalf of a client while maintaining their website or supporting their marketing, that client’s privacy notice and our agreement with them also apply. Privacy requests about a client’s own website should generally be directed to that client.
Comments and reviews
Where comments or product reviews are enabled, we collect the information submitted through the form and may collect the visitor’s IP address and browser information for moderation and spam prevention. Approved content and the name you choose to display may be publicly visible.
If Gravatar is enabled for that feature, a hashed version of your email address may be sent to Gravatar to locate an associated profile image. Its practices are described in Automattic’s Privacy Policy.
Comments, reviews, and form submissions may be screened by automated spam protection tools.
Embedded content and external websites
Some pages may display content supplied by another service, such as an embedded video. When that content loads, its provider may receive technical information, set cookies, or associate your interaction with an account you hold with that provider.
Our website also links to other websites, including providers of hosting, domain registration, business email, and other services. Information you submit on those websites is governed by their respective privacy policies. This policy does not replace the policies of those providers.
How long we keep information
We retain personal information for the purposes described in this policy, taking account of the type of information, our relationship with you, and applicable legal obligations.
Inquiry and project records may be retained to handle follow-up questions and ongoing work. Order, invoice, and payment records may be retained for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution. Account information may be retained while the account remains active, and published comments or reviews may remain until removed.
Retention also depends on the settings of the systems used to store the information. Copies in backups may remain until those backups are replaced or expire.
You may request deletion, although we may need to retain certain information to meet legal obligations or address an unresolved transaction, dispute, or security issue.
Your privacy choices and requests
You can contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you, request corrections, or request access to or deletion of your information. Depending on the laws that apply, you may have additional rights, including a right to obtain a copy of your information or opt out of certain uses or disclosures.
Send requests to dorkknightlv@gmail.com. Include enough information for us to locate the relevant account, inquiry, or order. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing personal information.
Nevada residents can use this email address to submit a request directing us not to sell covered information as defined by Nevada law. Please use the subject line “Nevada Privacy Request” to help us identify it. We will handle verified requests within the time required by applicable law.
Some requests are subject to legal exceptions. Where an account provides self-service settings, you can also use those settings to update the information available there.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information. No website, email system, or storage method can guarantee complete security.
Our business is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our providers operate. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from those where you live.
Children’s privacy
Our services and online shop are intended for a general adult audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the situation and arrange appropriate deletion.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website, services, or information practices change. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the date above. For material changes, we will provide a prominent website notice or another appropriate notification, as required by applicable law.
